  • How are they made?
    Everything is 3D printed.
  • What are they made of?
    Polylactic acid commonly known as “PLA”, which is cornstarch based.
  • What are the different types of PLA?
    There are 4 types of PLA 1. Regular: many colour choices available 2. Rainbow: creates layers of different colours in a single object 3. Silk: very shiny finish. Limited colour choices 4. Dual Silk: very shiny finish that changes between 2 colours based on the viewing direction
  • How long does it take for a print?
    It can take from a few hours to a few days for a print depending on the size and complexity of the model.
  • How did you get into 3D printing?
    Boredom set in during COVID lock down and all the research into 3D printing lead to the purchase of the first machine (an Ender3) and then another…..and another….and another……
  • Where is the printing done?
    The unfinished basement in our house has been custom built for a maker space for the printers.
  • What is a "Flexi"?
    A "flexi" is a (usually one piece) printed item that can bend, move and pose. Hence the name "flexi" for flexible print. Here's an example of a flexi:
